TS is one of the most searched escort terms in London and one of the most casually used. Three abbreviations circulate, they do not mean the same thing, and getting them straight makes for a better booking and a more respectful one.

TS stands for transsexual, and on a listing it means a trans woman. The term is dated as general language and many people would not use it about themselves, but it persists in this industry because it is what clients search for, and listings follow search.

TS, TV and CD

• TS: a trans woman. Living as a woman, and this is who she is rather than a service she provides.
• TV: transvestite. Someone who dresses as a woman for the booking. A different thing entirely.
• CD: cross-dresser. In practice used interchangeably with TV.

The gap between the first and the other two is the one that matters, and it is the one most often blurred by advertising. If it matters to you, the profile itself will usually make it obvious.
