The Elizabeth line changed Ilford. What used to be a slightly awkward trek out east is now a straight run in from the centre, and the area has got noticeably busier for it.
Most of what’s listed here sits around Ilford Lane and the streets off the high road, with incall flats within walking distance of the station. If you’re coming from central London it’s a genuinely easy trip, which wasn’t true five years ago.
Ilford has a large South Asian community and the listings follow that, so there’s more Indian and Pakistani choice here than almost anywhere else on this site. Worth knowing if that’s what you’re after.
Prices are firmly in the outer-London band. You’ll see hourly rates here that would be half-hour rates in Knightsbridge.
Barking is one stop further out if nothing here fits, and Romford is on the same line.
