Search escort jobs in London and most of what comes back is either a vehicle escort role for an abnormal load, or an advert written to sound like a recruiter and designed to collect phone numbers. The genuine listings are a small share of the results.

What the process actually is

There is no interview in any normal sense. What happens at a working agency is closer to this.

1. You make contact, usually by email or message, with a couple of recent photographs.
2. A conversation, by phone or in person, about what you do and do not offer, your availability, and where you can work from.
3. Photographs, which the better agencies arrange and pay for, because the listing lives or dies on them.
4. A profile goes up, and you decide what appears on it.
5. Bookings start arriving, and you accept or decline each one.

That is the whole thing. It usually takes a week or two, most of which is waiting on photographs.

What gets asked, and what should not

Reasonable: your availability, the areas you can work, whether you can host, what you offer, and proof that you are over eighteen. Every legitimate agency in the country checks age, and any that does not is a reason to leave rather than a convenience.

Not reasonable: keeping your documents, a joining fee, an exclusivity contract, or pressure to offer more than you said you would. None of those is standard, whatever you are told.

Reading an advert

A few things separate a real listing from a lead farm.

• A named agency with a working website. If the advert does not say who it is, there is a reason.
• A stated commission. Vagueness about money at the advert stage does not improve later.
• No earnings promise. Anyone advertising a guaranteed weekly figure is describing a diary nobody has.
• An address or a landline. Not conclusive, but a mobile number and nothing else is worth a second thought.

What agencies are actually short of

Useful if you are weighing up whether it is worth applying. Demand does not spread evenly.

Availability is the real currency. Someone reliable on weekday afternoons is worth more to an agency than someone glamorous who only answers on Saturdays, because weekday afternoons are when the phone rings and nobody is free. The same is true of anyone who can travel for outcall, which is consistently harder to staff than incall.

Beyond that it is breadth rather than any particular look. A roster works when it covers a range, so the gap is usually whatever is currently thin.
